Planimetric Map- a map that shows the horizontal locations and distances of figures, without regard for elevation.

A planimetric map shows only 2-dimensional features of an area. Here, the map shows the country of Iceland, with rivers, cities, towns, and states. What it does not show is elevation, like mountains, valleys, hills, or other 3-dimensional features.
